The Founder Film is a short, 3 to 5 minute documentary built around a single conversation with you, in your own space. No script. No performance. No pitch. It builds the one thing you cannot manufacture: genuine trust with the people who matter to your business. Clients, collaborators, and future partners will understand who you are before you have said a word to them.

We start with a conversation, not a contract.
How it works: We meet first over a call or Zoom. I ask questions and listen. By the time we schedule the half day shoot in your space, I already know what matters to you. The shoot itself feels much more like a long conversation with someone paying real attention than a production day. From there I edit, score, and shape the film into something that holds up twenty years from now.
What you receive: You get a finished film for your website, a version cut for social media, and a format ready for LinkedIn. We can also weave in old photos, early footage, handwritten notes, or sketches from the beginning. Those tend to be the moments that stop people cold.
On the craft
A short film is actually much harder to edit than a long one. I spend days sitting with our conversation to find the exact moments where you were being the most honest. It takes a lot of careful restraint to take a lifetime of work and whittle it down so that what remains feels completely true to who you are, without ever feeling rushed.

An 8 to 15 minute documentary built around one or two core interviews. This is the essential origin story: how it started, what it stands for, and what must be carried forward. I weave in your photographs, documents, or early materials to give the story its texture and proof.
The Company Legacy: Starting at $12,500 CAD
A 15 to 25 minute full documentary drawing from multiple interviews with founders, team members, and clients. This is the complete record: the culture, the turning points, and the meaning that accumulated over decades. This includes a much deeper integration of archival footage, photographs, and documents across the full film.
Both packages include multi session discovery and deep dive historical research, multi day on location filming, careful editing, color grading, and sound design. Archival quality digital delivery secures your history. You can also add a custom engraved USB in a premium presentation box for safekeeping, or a private password protected screening page for sharing with family, board members, or stakeholders.
On the craft
Weaving multiple voices into one cohesive story takes a lot of time and patience in the editing room. I am looking for the common threads between what the founder remembers and what the team experiences today. It involves carefully sorting through decades of old photos and memories, finding the right rhythm, and ensuring the final film feels like a natural conversation rather than a corporate timeline.
